ถ้าจะพูดถึง Android ในแง่ปริมาณแล้ว แน่นอนว่าประชากรรวม สามารถครองโลกของโทรศัพท์มือถือไปแล้ว แต่ถ้ามองในแง่ของ Android Version ที่ใช้งานนั้น สถิตินี้ บอกถึงอะไรหลายอย่างได้ และ ICS ที่เปิดตัวมาจนจะครึ่งปีแล้ว ไปถึงไหนบ้าง สถิติจาก Android Developer ได้รวบรวมเอาไว้ว่า ณ เวลานี้ ประชากร Android ที่มากที่สุด ยังคงเป็น Gingerbread เพราะผู้ผลิตส่วนใหญ่ ยังใช้มันกับเครื่องที่ขาย ณ ตอนนี้อยู่
เมื่อมองถึง ICS ถือว่าเริ่มเห็นความเติบโตบ้างแล้ว หลังจากอัตราการเติบโตในช่วง 3 เดือนแรก ยังไม่เห็นมากนัก โดยตอนนี้ ICS มีส่วนแบ่งทุก Version อยู่ 7.1% ซึ่งเป็นผลจากการปล่อยเครื่องรุ่นใหม่ๆ ที่เป็น ICS แต่กำเนิด ไม่ว่า HTC One / Samsung Galaxy S 3 ที่กำลังจะวางตลาด หรือการอัพเดท ICS จากผู้ผลิตที่เครื่องหลายรุ่น เริ่มได้ใช้อย่างเป็นทางการ ก็ช่วยให้การเติบโตเริ่มเห็นมากขึ้นเช่นกันแต่ถ้ามองกันถึงเครื่องรุ่นอื่นๆ และ Tablet ที่เป็น ICS ยังไม่ชัดเจน การเติบโตของ ICS ก็ถือว่าโตช้า(มาก)พอสมควร

Well, it's about time that Ice Cream Sandwich made some headway -- even if the process is much slower than consumers deserve. According to the Android developer hub, Android 4.0 now accounts for 7.1 percent of all Android smartphone and tablet installations, which is a sharp and welcome increase over the 2.9 percent figure that we reported just two months ago. Naturally, Gingerbread users still account for the lion's share of the Android ecosystem with 65 percent, but it's worth pointing out that this segment also grew during the last month -- no doubt at the expense of Froyo and Eclair.
